The City of Washougal’s Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and operating water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. The City is conducting a rate study to establish a rate plan that will adequately fund the three utilities for the next five years (2023-2027) so that the City can continue to supply drinking water, treat wastewater, and manage stormwater for the community.
As part of its public involvement process for the Utilities Rate Study, the city wants to talk with a cross-section of ratepayers to better understand the perspectives, opinions, and concerns related to utility rates. Our goal is to adequately fund Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater utility operations, capital costs, and debt while minimizing utility rate impacts to ratepayers. We want to hear from single and multi- family, small business, commercial, and industrial customers and we plan on talking with up 15 people from those different groups.
