From August 20-26, a contractor will be conducting mastic repairs on several city streets. Expect possible delays in these areas during this period.
Mastic is a hot-poured, polymer-modified asphalt material that's used to repair pavement that's too deteriorated for conventional crack sealing but not enough to warrant repaving. Mastic is a generic term for a durable surface material made of mineral filler and asphalt binder. It's often used to repair heavily trafficked roads and can be used in a variety of situations.
Please be cautious around road work zones and follow any detours or signage. We appreciate your understanding as we carry out this important maintenance. The schedule is subject to weather conditions, and dates may change accordingly.
