Residents of Washougal are invited to attend an informational session about the proposed Regional Fire Authority (RFA), which will be on the ballot during the general election on November 4, 2025. This session provides a chance for the community to hear from subject matter experts, learn about the details of the proposal, and ask questions before casting their votes.
An RFA is an independent agency to provide fire/EMS with one governing board representing residents in both cities collectively. The RFA brings the Camas-Washougal Fire Department up to minimum industry and state standards, streamlines operations, and provides a fairer and more cost-effective funding model for fire and emergency medical services.
