Dear City of Washougal Community Member,
As you may have heard, we are in the process of creating a Five-Year Strategic Plan for our city. This plan replaces our current expiring plan and will contain the priorities that will guide our policies and budget decisions for the next several years.
To gain your perspectives of what Washougal should look and feel like five years from now, we, along with our consultants at BerryDunn, have set up three opportunities to get your input at times that are convenient for you:
Nov. 5 – Strategic Plan Open House, 10am-2pm (Washougal Community Center, next to City Hall) Stop by to learn and ask questions about the city government with city leaders. Learn about upcoming projects, including the utility rate study and the strategic plan. Refreshments are provided.
Nov. 8 – Community Forum #1, 6:30-8pm (City Hall and hybrid format - link here [https://berrydunn.zoom.us/j/91019843844] ) Drop off your election ballot if you have not already voted and head into City Hall for a short presentation and engage with BerryDunn about what the city should look like 5 years from now.
Nov. 9 – Community Forum #2, 11:30am-1pm (City Hall and hybrid format - link here [https://berrydunn.zoom.us/j/91019843844] ) Can’t make the evening session? Stop by or tune in on your lunchbreak!
We understand you’re busy, but we hope you can stop by to help us continue making our community a great place! For your convenience, the community forums are held in a hybrid format where you can participate virtually via Zoom.
Additionally, if you are unable to make these events, you can always submit feedback and tell us what’s on your mind at cityofwashougal.us/StrategicPlan [https://cityofwashougal.us/StrategicPlan] . Post a thought on the Ideas Wall and take a brief survey! You can also email us directly at strategicplanning@cityofwashougal.us [mailto:strategicplanning@cityofwashougal.us] .
Our City Council and city leadership needs the information you and other community stakeholders provide to create a long-term vision for Washougal and develop strategic priorities, goals, and objectives that will help us continue to make Washougal a special place.
We look forward to seeing you,
David Scott Washougal City Manager
