The Nov. 4 general election has been certified, confirming that the Regional Fire Authority (RFA) ballot measure passed in both Washougal and Camas.
Along with the RFA’s approval, Washougal voters returned two unopposed incumbents to office: David Stuebe will continue in Position 1 as Mayor and David Fritz will remain in Position 3. Position 6 will see a new council member, Marty Swofford, who won 85.76% of the vote.
Across both cities, the RFA passed by a combined margin of 51.6% to 48.3%. The election was officially certified today, Nov. 25, by the Clark County Elections Department.
The councilmembers will be sworn in at the December 1 council meeting, with their terms ending December 31, 2029.
