The City of Washougal is pleased to announce that for the 13th year in a row, the City has received clean accountability and financial audits for FY 2022 from the Washington State Auditor’s Office. In several selected areas, the report found that city operations complied, in all material respects, with applicable state laws, regulations, and its own policies, and provided adequate controls over the safeguarding of public resources.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team at the City, especially the Finance Department,” commented Finance Director Daniel Layer. “I extend my sincere gratitude to the State Auditor's Office for their rigorous examination and commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in local government. We appreciate their efforts in promoting efficient and effective use of public resources.”
