Upcoming Open House #1: Fire Station 43 Replacement & Police Station Remodel Project

City of Washougal Latest News Posted on February 21, 2024

It’s the City’s job to provide and maintain emergency services and law enforcement. This requires adequate, functional buildings and equipment. However, the Fire Station 43 building and some of their fire engines are reaching their useful life.

The City proposes to replace Station 43’s building. The new building would be built adjacent to the Police Station and house some police staff and functions, such as a shared break room and fitness facility, which would require a remodel of the Police Station.

The City would fund additional design and construction of the new facility with a bond that voters would consider in the primary election this August.

Learn about this project at the first open house. We’ll show you around the current building and share some early plans for the proposed new building. We’ll also ask your opinion on how the new building should look from the outside.

Open House #1 Details:

  • TIME: 6:00-7:00 p.m.
  • WHAT: Station tours throughout the evening and a presentation at 6:30 p.m.
