Parks PassportProgram Overview

The Parks Passport Program is a seasonal youth engagement initiative created to encourage exploration, service, and learning in Washougal’s local parks. Participants earn stamps in their personal passport booklets by attending events and completing hands-on service projects that benefit the community and environment.

The Parks Passport Program engages youth in hands-on service, outdoor learning, and creative activities that foster a lifelong connection to Washougal’s parks and natural spaces.

Core Program Elements

Each Parks Passport event includes:

  1. Service Project – Required to earn a stamp (examples: litter pickup, planting, weeding)
  2. Educational Activity – Optional but encouraged (nature walks, guest speakers, interpretive games or materials)
  3. Creative Fun or Craft – Optional but encouraged (scavenger hunts, nature art, storytelling)

 How to Earn a Stamp

  • Complete the service project
  • Check in and out with a program lead

Reward Tiers

  • 5 Stamps = Tier 1 Prize 
  • 10 Stamps = Tier 2 Prize 
  • 15+ Stamps = Tier 3 Prize 

Who Can Participate

The program is open to all Washougal youth. Activities will be age-appropriate and accessible, with modifications available so all participants can contribute meaningfully.

Submitting Your Passport

Turn in your completed passport at:

  • City Hall 
  • Any Parks Passport event
