Snow Globe Hunt
2025 City of Washougal Snow Globe Hunt Official Rules & Regulations
The City of Washougal Parks & Recreation team will provide clues to the secret locations of three snow globes hidden in the city’s parks from December 16 through January 2. The first hunter to find each snow globe will be declared the winner and be allowed to keep the snow globe. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to receive clues or win the prize, and no purchase or payment will be accepted. By participating in the 2025 Snow Globe Hunt (the “Hunt” or “Promotion”), participants accept and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions.
1. Sponsor. The sponsor of this promotion is the City of Washougal (1701 C Street, Washougal, WA 98671).
2. Promotion Period. Each four-day treasure hunt begins at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) every Tuesday throughout the last three weeks of December (December 16, 23, and 30). Each Hunt ends when the Sponsor has verified and announced that a winner has found the hidden snow globe or, in the event the hidden snow globe is not found within the four-day hunt period, the Sponsor may elect to terminate the contest, and no prize will be awarded.
3. Eligibility. The Snow Globe Hunt is open to any person who is at least 18 years old at the time of participating or accompanied by an eligible adult. Employees and immediate family of the City of Washougal are not eligible to participate. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant that Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, is ineligible to participate.
4. How to Participate: Snow Globe Hunt Rules. To participate, read the daily written clues provided on the City of Washougal social media starting December 16. All clues will be released on social media for each of the three snow globes, one per day, at 10 a.m. each day until Friday of each week, or until the globe is found. An announcement will be made on social media when each globe is found. Hunters are NOT permitted to communicate with staff or volunteers from the City of Washougal for additional clue clarification, advice or assistance with hunting. The treasure to be found is an average-sized snow globe (4-5-inch diameter) that will be placed in some type of additional packaging. The treasure will not be buried, and no structure or object will need to be disturbed to find it. Do not dig for the snow globes or otherwise damage/destroy any plants or structures at the park, and snow globes will not be hidden in any community garden spaces.
All snow globes will be hidden in parks or trails that are open to the public. The snow globes may be concealed but will not be hidden in places that require damaging the park/trail in any way. You do not need to dig underground or destroy anything to access the snow globes, and doing so is prohibited and may violate city code. Abide by park hours and rules for any property on which you are hunting. Do not hunt on property that is not open to the public. Hunters must be respectful of others’ privacy, property, person, and wildlife.
